In conjunction with the Singapore International Bunkering Conference and Exhibition (SIBCON) - the world's most important bunkering event, Oman Oil Marketing Company signed a cooperation agreement with O Bunkering to promote the marine bunkering services in the Port of Duqm.

Mr. Tarik Mohammed Al Junaidi, CEO of Oman Oil Marketing Company, said: "We work at Oman Oil Marketing Company to provide bunkering services for ships in all Omani ports, including the Port of Duqm, to which we have allocated the bunker fuel barge MT BRAVO to meet the increasing demand for high-quality bunker fuel. For local, regional and international ships, which in turn works to consolidate the reputation of the Sultanate of Oman as a world-class logistics hub."

For his part, Ali Al Shibani, CEO of O Bunkering, said: “With our strategic partnership with Oman Oil Marketing Company, O Bunkering is working to provide high-quality services through a team of highly experienced professionals and provide the best solutions in an innovative and sustainable way in the marine and bunkering sector."

This agreement contributes to national efforts in developing the logistics sector to make the Sultanate of Oman a highly competitive logistics center and a hub for communication between the various countries of the world, by devoting efforts to enrich maritime activity in Oman, especially the service of supplying ships with bunker fuel in Omani ports.

It is worth noting that the capacity of the marine fuel barge MT BRAVO, which is dedicated to bunker vessels in the port of Duqm, is 10,000 tons of marine fuel. Very Low Sulfur Fuel Oil (VLSFO) according to international standards and Marine Gas Oil (MGO).

It is expected that the number of international vessels coming to the port of Duqm for bunker refueling will increase as a result of the availability of refueling service through various supply methods, trucks, ex pipes and marine barge dedicated to refueling ships MT BRAVO.
