OmanOil Marketing Company hosts 1st Anniversary party to Thank suppliers - Muscat,Oman - 25 December 2004

To mark their 1st year anniversary, Oman Oil Marketing Company SAOG (OOMCO) organised a special thank you dinner party at the Grand Hyatt, Muscat, for all who contributed to OOMCOs transition over the last year.

The audience, comprising of VIP\'s and guests, was selected from a cross section of companies in the Sultanate who\'s resources have helped OOMCO through out the rebranding process. These included Riam Signs and Al Awal Co LLC who transformed all the filling stations into what we see today. Members of the press, United Media Services who designed and created the web site, Al Sukry establishment who painted the fleet in the new logo,Trowers and Hamlins Solicitors and Muttrah Cold Stores who run the Quick Shop to name just a few.

The guests, who were seated in the Hyatt gardens, watched a short animation featuring BP and omanoil, before and after the conversion. They then listened to a speech from Mike Wilson, Managing Director and who spoke about the positive contributions and support from everyone involved in the transition from BP to omanoil. A jazz band then entertained guests\' throughout dinner and the rest of the evening.

Mike Wilson, OOMCO Managing Director explained "The launch of omanoil as a brand name, gave us the opportunity to illustrate our visions and future aspirations for the company as a whole. Over the last year we have see some radical changes and as Oman’s first and only 100% Omani owned fuels marketing Company we are very proud to have achieved so much. We couldn\'t have come this far without the assistance we have received, which has built us a sold foundation, allowing us to look at the future from such a positive angle. Our brand values - trustworthy, caring, innovative and fast have been continuously reiterated through our partners and suppliers in all they have done"

Until December 2002, OOMCO was a part of BP. BP\'s 49% share was then sold to the government owned investment company Oman Oil Company.
