YOUNG OMANIS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE GRADUATE TRAINING PROGRAMME RUN BY OMAN OIL MARKETING COMPANY

Committed to supporting the development of the Sultanate’s future leaders, Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) recently celebrated the graduation of young Omanis who completed its Experience Hub Batch 2022 training programme. This graduate scheme is a dedicated and structured entry-level training programme offered for recent Omani graduates by OOMCO. The Experience Hub provides participants with an opportunity to gain hands-on work experience and transferable skills on top of the subject-specific knowledge that they have acquired during their higher studies.

Tarik Mohammed Al Junaidi, CEO at Oman Oil Marketing Company, said, “The Experience Hub programme provides young Omani degree-holders with an opportunity to develop a basic understanding of different professions within our organization. They also receive our support in gaining practical experience and building key transferable and higher-level thinking skills. Participants were able to develop skill sets that are expected to further improve their overall employability.”

The Experience Hub Programme was launched in 2022 in close cooperation with the Oman Ministry of Labour and is in line with OOMCO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy. The programme lasts one year and is available in a variety of streams, including Health, Safety and Environment, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Corporate Affairs as well as Shop, Food and Services.

OOMCO considers itself part of the communities in which it operates and continues to grow, while it continuously aims to give back and add value to them. To achieve this purpose, it has been involved in a variety of CSR activities that have had a positive impact on society and that contribute towards economic, community, tourism, educational and environmental development. The next Experience Hub Graduate Programme is expected to start from June, 2023.
