OMAN OIL MARKETING COMPANY SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES MAJALIS AL ATA

As part of its commitment to support the social development of people in the Sultanate, Oman Oil Marketing Company recently celebrated the conclusion of ‘Majalis Al Ata’, a specialized program that empowered administrators from over 10 charitable organizations with best practices. Launched in collaboration with the Omani Network of Volunteers (Taawon), the initiative came to a close with all participants receiving certificates recognizing their successful training.

Jaber bin Sulaiman Al Busaidi, Corporate Affairs Manager, said, “Over the years, we have remained dedicated to making a difference in all the communities we serve by supporting social, economic, humanitarian and environmental causes. We launched Majalis Al Ata as part of that commitment, designing it specifically to help shape a better future for the people of Oman.”

He added, “As part of the program, participants were trained in a series of workshops that focused on planning, arts management, running volunteer associations and human resource management. Throughout their participation, attendees were given the unique opportunity to learn best practices and supplementary knowledge that will serve them well in their respective fields.”

Participating organizations included the Omani Association for Elderly Friends, the Omani Road Safety Association, the Al Noor Association for the Blind, the Oman Autism Society, the Oman Association for Consumer Protection, the Oman Diabetes Association, the Early Intervention Center for Children with Disability as well as the Omani Women Associations of Seeb, Muscat, Qurum, and Qurayat.

Since its inception, Oman Oil Marketing Company has worked tirelessly to instill a culture of social responsibility wherever they operate. Among the many initiatives launched by the company to support the growth of people in Oman are the recently held Tanfeedh, the 2016 Oman Traffic Safety Exhibition, and Waqodoona.
