Omanoil Rounds Up March With Environmental Conservation Drive

In celebration of Earth Hour 2013, Oman Oil Marketing Company (omanoil) has introduced a number of eco-conscious activities that include partnering with Muscat Grand Mall to turn off its lights from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on the 23rd of March, as well as switching off all non-essential power sources at its head office in Muscat and regional offices in Salalah and Sohar. In addition, omanoil held exciting educational activities for the audience at the Mall to instill the value of proactive behavior among future generations.

Further showcasing its environmental conservation practices, omanoil joined hands with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs for World Water Day, the United Nation’s global initiative celebrated on the 22nd of March. Throughout the month, fillers at all 144 omanoil filling stations drove awareness by wearing World Water Day t-shirts with messages to remind customers to save this precious commodity. Internally, the company introduced staff to simple steps that can be taken in their daily lives to better sustain the planet. omanoil will continue to educate and inspire the community with innovative, eco-friendly practices and participate in worldwide initiatives that will preserve the planet for generations to come.
