Omanoil Gains International Recognition for Business Excellence with Six Awards at BIZZ Arabic 2013

Clinching six awards at this year’s BIZZ Arabic Awards, Oman Oil Marketing Company (omanoil) gained international recognition for business excellence from the World Confederation of Business (WORLDCOB), a leading organization that encourages worldwide business development. The third annual event fostered healthy competition in the Middle East’s dynamic market and honored the most distinguished companies for outstanding practices in management and achieving the highest performance standards.

Among the six Omani companies that were awarded, omanoil was recognized as a ‘World Business Leader’ and Engr. Omar bin Ahmed Salim Qatan, omanoil CEO, was presented with  certificates for ‘World Leader Businessperson’ and ‘Excellence in Business Leadership’. Eng. Amer bin Suhail Jaboob, omanoil General Manager of Operations and Logistics, received a certificate for ‘Excellence in Business Management’ and Eng. Nabeel bin Salim Al Ruwaidhi, General Manager of Commercial and Lubricants, was acknowledged for ‘Excellence in Quality Management’. Shaukath Hussain Assadi, Senior Lubricants Manager at omanoil was also awarded a certificate for ‘Excellence in Marketing Management’.

The judging for the Bizz Arabic Awards 2013 was supported by an independent entity comprising of professionals from different business sectors to qualify the evaluation parameters for the awards. The evaluation was based on six points that measure the company’s commitment level, quality and development of a good management system and business excellence. Points were gained from managerial leadership, management systems, quality in goods and services, managerial creativity and innovation, social responsibility and obtained results.
