Sultan Bin Hamdoon Al Harthy, General Secretary of Tender Board. omanoil’s latest pre-paid fuel card. OOMCO are 100% committed to bringing products and services to Oman based on international expertise and applied using local experience and knowledge. OOMCO aim to meet the existing and future needs of the customers here in the Sultanate.

The latest innovation is the Wayak card, a service set to give greater flexibility and freedom. Targeted at individual drivers and small to medium fleets, the Wayak card enables you to plan your fuel budget and control your monthly expenditure. Whether it’s for personal use or corporate purposes, rest assured that fuel can be managed with ease.

Wayak, meaning ‘with you’ is the latest prepaid fuelcard on the market with a difference. Accepted in all omanoil service stations across the country for purchasing fuel, lubricants and oil change services– the Wayak is the first pre-paid fuelcard with cross acceptance in the GCC. Now you can use your Wayak card in the UAE at all Emarat and Emirates service stations, giving you access to the largest network of service stations through a single card. With over 240 service stations to choose from in the Emirates and here in Oman, refueling has just been made easier.

“We’ve been waiting for the right moment to launch the Wayak card. Now with cross acceptance at all omanoil, Emarat and Emirates Service Stations network, customers can see that we are offering services to exceed their expectations.” says Sadiq Al Moosawi, Fuel Cards Manager.

Wayak is one of a range of smart cards produced by OOMCO which already incorporates Ejaba, a corporate fleet management card, and the unique OOMCO/AAA fuelcard and Oman Arab Bank (OAB) smartcard. Smartcard technology has been developed to offer a far higher level of control, security and convenience when it comes to motoring payments.

Reinforcing the reasons behind the cross acceptance features of their smart cards, OOMCO Managing Director Mike Wilson said, “Transportation between Oman and the UAE is increasing significantly. In the past, companies and individuals operating across borders have had significant problems administering fuel purchasing using fuelcards at omanoil sites in Oman and having to use cash at filling stations in the UAE. With the introduction of cross acceptance the whole process is now made simple and is far safer for both the driver and the fleet operator.”

Unlike other pre-paid cards, Wayak has a one time recommended purchase price of RO1.500. With a minimum top up fee of just RO1.000 and no maximum credit limit, you determine how much financial freedom you require from your Wayak card.
