Located at PDO’s Industrial Area, omanoil's storage and distribution terminal has recently celebrated 17 years of safe operations. In partnership with Al Maha, omanoil operates and fully manages the semi-automated terminal as a joint venture.
Operating 24 hours a day with an average output of about 6 Million liters daily, the terminal has obtained an international safety certification for its unprecedented operational quality.
Products Handled
With a storage capacity of about 55 Million liters the terminal handles all the main products required for the local market viz. Super Motor Spirit, Regular Motor Spirit, Diesel and Jet Fuel. All these products are received directly from the refinery through dedicated pipelines.
Technology
Up to date technology being used in Oil Industry elsewhere has been employed in the terminal with the help of stock management, over spill protection, valve operations etc are being managed efficiently. The terminal is in the process of introducing fully automation in operation - communication with customers ordering and loading.
Logistics
omanoil operates its own fleet of vehicles to manage the distribution of about 47% of the total volume where as balance 53% is being handled by contractor's vehicles. omanoil ensures that the quality of the contractors’ fleet matches with that of its own fleet to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and safety. Each vehicle is fitted with onboard computer and with the help of a modern computer system the driver behavior, speed etc are constantly monitored.
Lubricants Stores
The terminal also housing the Lubricants Stores where Castorl and BP brands of lubricants in all pack sizes are stored. All products are delivered for both Industrial and Retail customers directly by the Lubricant stores with the help of fully trained and efficient contractor staff.
Working Hours:
The terminal is working from 06:00 AM to 12:00 midnight on 7 days except public holidays. The Lube Stores is functional from 06:00 hrs to 14:00 hours for five days in a week except Thursdays and Fridays.
