Omanoil partners with
Rekaaz to launch “Cool to live responsibly”
campaign

Aiming to instill individual and collective
responsibilities of leadership skills in youth,
Oman Oil Marketing Company (omanoil) has joined
hands with Rekaaz, a non – profit foundation
operating in the Arab world to launch a
three-month awareness campaign under the theme
“Cool to live responsibly” .
On the occasion Nabeel Al Ruwaidhi, General
Manager of Corporate Affairs, Business
Development and Procurement at omanoil said
“Supporting noble grass root initiatives such as
Rekaaz is a key driver to engaging with our
community and motivating youth across the
Sultanate to achieve their maximum potential and
become agents of change.”
Al Ruwaidhi went on to say that its involvement
with Rekaaz as a platinum sponsor is an
excellent opportunity to invest in a brighter
future for the younger Omani generation, by
directing their energy positively and instilling
individual responsibility and high standards of
social morality, as it reinforces its role as a
fabric of economic and social development .
Rekaaz which literally means ‘Stability’ in
Arabic, is a motivational foundation which
carries out systematic media awareness campaigns
and aims to instill and further enhance the
moral values of Omani youth from the ages of 14
to 23. The campaign in its 12th phase aims to
achieve its goals this year by distributing
educational and motivational materials including
flyers, brochures and CD’s to a number of
popular public locations, building on its
previous campaign efforts which have covered a
number of youth-related issues, including the
importance of career and personal
accomplishments and the keys to professional
success. A number of prominent speakers from the
region, who specialize in Islamic and moral
values, education and health topics, are also
scheduled to hold seminars during the three
month campaign at a number of local schools,
colleges, universities and shopping malls. With
over 250 volunteers and vast geographical
outreach, the campaign will cover the Muscat,
South Batna and Salalah regions.
omanoil views engaging in vital community
initiates such as Rekaaz, as an integral
component of its ethical operations and
underlying Company culture. Over the years, the
Company has focused on developing Omani youths
through pioneering programs, such as the
successful omanoil Football School (OFS) and
Muscat Community Football League (MCFL), which
illustrates its commitment to nurturing young
talents nationwide.
